Leila Cupersmith, Founder & CEO of Choice ClinOps, brings more than 20 years of hands-on experience working on complex global oncology and rare disease clinical trial operations from concept through closeout. Throughout her career, she saw the same avoidable challenges derail studies—millions of dollars wasted, preventable delays, misaligned resources, fractured sponsor–CRO–site relationships, misaligned stakeholders, and poor vendor or site selection and management. On the programs she led, she built and executed strategies that consistently and quickly turned these problems around, delivering earlier milestones, improved quality and safety, stronger collaborations, and millions of dollars in cost savings for the study sponsors.

Choice ClinOps was founded to bring these proven strategies to a greater number of small and mid-size sponsors who too often lack access to the same level of operational excellence as large pharma. Our model is intentionally nimble, embedded, attentive, and customer-focused, designed to fit into a small to mid-size sponsor’s existing structure as a seamless extension of the team when needed.

Although Leila leads the company, Choice ClinOps is not a solo person operation. We are a solid, unified team of seasoned, fractional clinical trial operations professionals, each with 20+ years of hands-on rare disease or cancer trial operations experience across the smallest through the largest global sponsors, CROs, and site networks. Our combined experience has included delivering clinical trials throughout over 80 countries. This collective expertise means sponsors benefit from leaders who have sat in every seat at the table and learned by actually doing and overseeing the clinical trial operations work themselves—able to anticipate and quickly manage proven solutions for rare disease and cancer clinical trial operations challenges, navigate complexity, and execute studies with precision.
